iPhone/iPod Touch Pwnage tool 2.0 not going as planned.

Looks like the iPhone Dev Team’s widely awaited Pwnage 2.0 tool isn’t as good and easy to use as anticipated. There are major problems attempting to put iPhones into DFU mode - something which is necessary for it to work.

Another serious problem involves the inability to launch the app - with only the bouncing and apparent menu bar appearing when the icon is clicked. -Ed.

ALL online Apple Stores down…

What do you know? Every single Apple online store site is down, and we’re hoping it’s for the 3G iPhone. But all of them? This surely means that there will be a mass roll out of the long awaited (and perhaps even non-existent, however unlikely) device. Expect roll-out of the iPhone 3G in definitely more than 15 countries.

Added Features to TechnoEssence

You may, or may not have spotted that there are a couple of new features to TechnoEssence that may make your life easier.

The first one of these is Social Bookmarking.

You can now Bookmark any post at most Bookmarking sites by just clicking the relevant icon
There are over 30 Bookmarking Services Supported

However, if you feel that an important service has been excluded, please inform us.
Secondly, is an much improved commenting feature.

You can now reply to specific comments, or just the post itself
These comments will then become nested below each other to make things easier to see
There will be a limit of 6 nested comments, so things don’t get confusing

Hope you guys will make use of these features and think that they are useful. If there are any features seen elsewhere, feel free to comment and I’m sure we can sort something out.

Rumour: Bye Bye 20GB Xbox 360

Rumour has is that the Xbox 360 20GB will be replaced for good with the 60GB Model. Trusted Reviews tells us it’s from a completely rock solid source.

Internet Explorer 8 Beta now available

We were all baffled here at TechnoEssence when we heard that Internet Explorer 8 was available to download.

They seem to be really caught up with their Standards Compliant Acid 2 Compatibility. That’s good, but being a web designer, that’s what I’m interested in. You might not care nor know what the hell that is.

Summary:

Push Email, Push Calendar, Push Contacts, Global Contacts, Cisco IPsec VPN, Certificates and Identities, WPA2, Enforced Security Policies, Device Configuration and Remote Wipe are all coming to the next iPhone Software Update.

However, Update will not be released until June.

ActiveSync and Microsoft Exchange for iPhone.
