iPhone/iPod Touch Pwnage tool 2.0 not going as planned.

Looks like the iPhone Dev Team’s widely awaited Pwnage 2.0 tool isn’t as good and easy to use as anticipated. There are major problems attempting to put iPhones into DFU mode - something which is necessary for it to work.

Another serious problem involves the inability to launch the app - with only the bouncing and apparent menu bar appearing when the icon is clicked. -Ed.

ALL online Apple Stores down…

What do you know? Every single Apple online store site is down, and we’re hoping it’s for the 3G iPhone. But all of them? This surely means that there will be a mass roll out of the long awaited (and perhaps even non-existent, however unlikely) device. Expect roll-out of the iPhone 3G in definitely more than 15 countries.

iPhone officially announced in Ireland

As usual For once, TechnoEssence got something right!

o2 Ireland confirmed last night that the iPhone will be released in Ireland on the 14th of March for St. Patrick’s Weekend. Word on Tariffs is still yet to come. It will be available with all the usual specifications (as per other countries), in sizes of 8GB and 16GB.

The models will be priced €399 and €499 respectively.

I’m Sure you’ve already guessed that the above thing is wireless. And, you’ve already guessed that it was a computer mouse. And, you’ve already guessed that this isn’t at the slightest bit practical. Made from wool felt and laminated bamboo ply (yeah we laughed too), this thing doesn’t even have a scroll wheel. You might as well book the hand surgeon in advance of you using the mouse, as unlike every other mouse in the universe, it’s brick shaped. More…

Apple announce 3rd Party Applications for iPhone. (SDK and all the lot.)

So what do you know? SDK for the most advanced mobile phone ever. (In fact it’s true, it runs OS X, this is no watered down version, it’s the real thing. 3rd party Apps will show you that.)

I’m sure you’re pleased. SDK, short for Support Development Something Rather, means that Apple are launching a package for developers so it makes it easy for them not to make mistakes when developing applications for the JesusPhone apologies, iPhone.
