iPhone / iPod Touch Update to 1.1.2 is pointless if coming from 1.1.1 (and even 1.02)

[UPDATE] Reasons to upgrade to 1.1.2 from any version: Language Support (including keyboards, Asian and Region Format), and, um. That’s it. Even the hinted (iTunes 7.5) official Voice Memo thingy isn’t there. Add Event feature was added to iPod Touch. And another petty betty feature is the battery status in iTunes when your device is connected to your PC or Mac.
Reasons to stay plonked on your backside: No 3rd Party Apps (incl no Jailbreak), No Unlock, plus any luxurious hack available to jailbreaked or unlocked phones.
[UPDATE 2:] Of Course, you can easily downgrade to 1.1.1 if you were terribly stupid or unlucky to land yourself with a 1.1.2 phone…(old news we know, but it’s obvious, hackers work m, n and n just to hack these updates…unsuccessful is not in their vocabulary.)
Doesn’t exactly make me run up and down the room like 1.1.1 -Ed

Hi Simon!
Welcome to TechnoEssence.
It is indeed great news that they are able to unlock 1.1.2, but as always with the hacking world (kind of hard to know what to expect) it was expected. Lol. Apple is no match for millions of hackers!
I can’t wait to read some of your future comments,
