Hold Up…That Shiny new DS Lite may have to wait.
If you were going to buy yourself or your spoilt rotten kids a shiny new Nintendo DS Lite for Christmas. Avoid the screaming sessions and, think AGAIN. (Possibly. See end of post for final decision)
As soon as your little boy/girl realizes that her/his brand new DS isn’t as shiny as the new facelifted model, what will he/she say? Oh Yes, Nintendo maybe making a few tweaks here and there so you may want to hold off. According to Gamespot, as soon as the sales of the current model slow, BAM! A new model that will send everybody into a tizzy on whether or not they should bother with the supposedly lost Game Boy Advance Slot that no-one used and those slim bodies with big screens. On-board memory has been mentioned on this site and that site, which could add an MP3+4 Player and make it a strong replacement to the Sony PSP (who it’s beating anyway). The GBA Slot removal would be odd, but most accessories just use it for memory so it’s not that bad if there will be a good bit of on board memory?
ADVICE FROM TEAM: Buy Current DS Lite, sales aren’t going to slow anytime near Christmas, which means that the redesign may be released in March, April and at the end of the day, will your darlings notice? -Ed
