Apple announce 3rd Party Applications for iPhone. (SDK and all the lot.)

officialapps-iphone.jpg

So what do you know? SDK for the most advanced mobile phone ever. (In fact it’s true, it runs OS X, this is no watered down version, it’s the real thing. 3rd party Apps will show you that.)

I’m sure you’re pleased. SDK, short for Support Development Something Rather, means that Apple are launching a package for developers so it makes it easy for them not to make mistakes when developing applications for the JesusPhone apologies, iPhone.

With this news, came a tiny little thing. February. Guess what, it will take Apple that long. They’re trying to do two things at once. Silly Apple! Be like our friend banana. Be easy to eat, be easy to peal. In fact, Apple are right. They want to provide an advanced, open platform while at the same time, protect our beautiful, most wonderful phones from harm. (Eh hemm, carried away. Basically, Viruses are a no no.)

This development includes the iPod Touch. It’s not going to be “totally” open, because all apps will have to be checked for viruses, but according to Apple, there is no thing an app has to do, like it can be a fingernail measurer, it’s not what it does, it’s whether it is fully compatible and has more than a bit of functionality. -Ed
