Unique Phones release iPhone unlocking video.

In the past hour (remember we’re operating in GMT), the Unique Phones subsidiary has posted a video showing the unlocking process of an Apple iPhone. It seemed really simple. Although the video was quite blurry, their were no cuts or crops and they showed the Vodafone U.K. simcard. I still would have liked to have it seen at the end though. Guess what? It was shot on an N95, which is kinda silly. Guys, buy a cheap video camera, it would make it look professional. And a tri-pod. More…

Another iPhone clone..but from Nokia?

Nokia’s Touch Screen Video

This thing was shown at the Go Play event in London today, and what does it look like? See here.

[UPDATE: The “hardware” used in that photo is not real, and the LCD images are overlaid. Nokia was showing how the touch screen software could be implemented on current and future devices. In no way is the phone featured above going to be developed. ]

[UPDATE 2: The manufacturer of the iPhone touch screens has received an order for 8 million touch screens from a “major manufacturer. We’re not saying this is Nokia, but they are major, and this would be a major co-winky dink.]

Nokia launches door. Or Ovi, in Finnish.

oviscreencap.jpg
So, Nokia, the world’s leading phone comany, Ovi, the company’s new Internet services brand name. Ovi , meaning Door in Finnish, is a wide range of Internet Services. Part of the Ovi plan, is the Nokia N-GAGE, the gaming platform, and the Nokia Music store, music that makes you move, on the move. Surely this is a large hand that has just slapped Apple right on their Rosy cheeks. (No, I’m not an Apple hater, I’m what you call neutral.) The mobile website will house most popular artists in the ever expanding list. Also included in this special feature will be content only available through the Company.

Part of the set-up is Nokia Maps, More…

iPhone unlock within next 72 hours.

iPhone that is simulated to be unlocked.

iPhoneSimFree.com has just posted a Frequently asked questions page, which reveals a lot. The unlock, which is going to be available in the next 72 hours, is not free, as assumed. This is odd, as FreeiPhone has offered 100,000 for it to be released free, but anyone can set-up a blog page, and announce anything.

So for this to work, you will either buy an activated iPhone off of eb More…

100,000 U.S.D. offered for free release of iPhone Unlock Software.

Simulation of an unlocked iPhone

So as engadget reported, 100,000 cash (that’s $) is being offered to either company for a working software unlock that they can distribute freely across the web. Now that’s a good deal. Yeah, but it’s only posted on a blogspot site, which well, are free, just like engadget said, anyone can set one up and announce anything about anything.

It’s looking good anyhow, so how long will it be before someone takes up the offer?

E-3? From space? Oh no sorry, that’s E.T. Have a look at Olympus’ latest.

So, Olympus has announced their latest pro-dslr, the Olympus E-3. Finally, after weeks (or months, I’ve lost track!) of speculation, their new professional D-SLR has been revealed. It’s been a hectic month, with the Canon EOS 1ds MKII and the new More…
